Tandi Palmer Williams

Managing Director

  • Patternmakers’ Founder and Managing Director Tandi Palmer Williams is an experienced consultant, author and speaker.

    She is passionate about audience research and how it enables cultural and community causes to thrive.

    Having worked in Government, the non-profit sector, a major consulting firm and small business, and lived in Sydney, London and now regional NSW, she has insight into different contexts and communities.

    An accredited Qualified Professional Researcher (QPR), Tandi was previously Research Manager at innovation foundation Nesta, in England, Research Manager for the Australia Council for the Arts and Senior Consultant at PwC.

    She has a Graduate Certificate in Chartered Accounting and is an alumnus of the Australia Council’s Arts Leaders Program.

Emily Berry

Manager, Business Operations

  • Emily joined Patternmakers in Nov 2023. She previously worked for 10 years in regional NSW as CEO of Northern Rivers Community Foundation (NRCF), and General Manager of Northern Rivers Performing Arts (NORPA).

    Prior to settling in the Northern Rivers, Emily had over 20 years’ experience in business and financial management, namely for St.George OpenAir Cinema Sydney & Melbourne, RICE restaurants & events New York, BroadOak documentary film production in Brisbane and Paris, RiverGarden Hotel Cambodia, and Logistician for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

    Emily is passionate about supporting the community & cultural sector. She has a particular interest in research and data analysis and how it can inform and improve outcomes for creative and community programs.

Peta Petrakis

Research Analyst

  • Peta is experienced in research and data analysis, ticketing and audience reporting, public programming, and has a special interest in visual arts and cultural heritage.

    She was the Program Coordinator at the Robin Boyd Foundation, a nonprofit cultural organisation focussed on architecture and design. Here she managed public tours, program research and development, ticketing and volunteer management.

    Peta holds a Masters in Arts and Cultural Management from the University of Melbourne, a Bachelors in Fine Art with Honours from RMIT University, where she specialised in painting and contemporary practice.

    While completing her Masters she completed internships with the National Gallery of Victoria’s Exhibition Management team, and the Hellenic Museum, where she was instrumental in developing a new contemporary art exhibition space.

    Peta is dedicated to empowering the arts and cultural industries through data-driven insights in order to support artists and arts managers to do what they do best.

Melanie Raveendran

Digital Marketing Coordinator

  • Melanie is passionate about strengthening the creative industries, assisting Patternmakers in a digital marketing capacity with their effort to utilise research as a tool to benefit the arts and cultural sector. 

    She is currently undertaking a Master of Art Curating at the University of Sydney. Her studies in the field of contemporary arts have instilled a keen understanding of the value of arts and culture, specifically its ability to empower, inspire and represent various communities.

Mia Skeffington

Research Coordinator

  • Mia assists the Patternmakers research team in the smooth running of client projects, and undertakes research support and administrative activities.

    She is currently studying a double degree of Bachelor of Laws / Bachelor of Communications, majoring in Social and Political Sciences. Her studies have instilled in her a passion for social justice and an awareness for the powerful ways in which arts and culture can shape individuals and collectives. Her studies and previous administrative experience have also enhanced her ability to think and solve problems in both an organised and creative manner.

Alessandra McCluskey-Voigt

Research Coordinator

  • Alessandra assists the Patternmakers team with a range of project support work including research and administrative tasks.

    She recently completed a Master of Human Rights at the University of Sydney, equipping her with a critical understanding of the roots of many global humanitarian concerns and the institutions around them. Her studies also expanded on the research and critical analysis capabilities she developed during her Bachelor of Arts degree.

    Alessandra is dedicated to developing the social impact of the cultural and community sector through evidence-based research and community-led consultation.
