Projects

We work on a fixed-fee consultancy basis to support creative wellbeing initiatives. This includes:

  • Audience Research to inform wellbeing strategies and creative health programs

  • Program Evaluation to measure the effectiveness of interventions and inform future program decisions.

Unfortunately, our team is in high demand and we have limited capacity for projects outside this area. If you’re unsure, just get in touch with us at info@thepatternmakers.com.au.

If we can’t support your project, we’re happy to share recommendations for alternative consultants.

Speaking, training and professional development

We love bringing people and evidence together to unlock insights and build momentum for change. This includes:

  • Speaking engagements, from keynotes to conference breakout sessions, to ground your event in solid research and systems thinking

  • Workshops and roundtables, where we facilitate rather than lecture, so the people in the room tap into their collective knowledge and shape the outcome together

  • Retreats, for teams or networks who need a proper stretch of time away from the inbox to think things through together

  • Research briefings on the latest thinking in culture, creativity and community

  • Training to build your team's confidence in research, evaluation and data analysis, tailored to your context.

Every session is adapted to suit your organisation and the people in the room, so it's genuinely useful. Get in touch to discuss the options: info@thepatternmakers.com.au

Initiatives

We offer long-term initiatives to support systemic change.

Growing Together is an audience development program for networks of arts organisations. Instead of one-off campaigns, participants take small, regular actions together, working through a mix of workshops, table-group activities and check-ins that build the rituals and relationships behind long-term audience connection and community wellbeing.

It's designed for peak bodies, funding programs and regional networks who are past the stage of needing more data, and ready to bring people together, in a room or on a screen, to actually use the evidence they've already got.‍ ‍

Culture Panel

Did you know we have a dedicated platform for research related to arts, culture and community? It brings participants and decision-makers together around important topics.

If you’re planning research, and need to reach real audiences quickly, rather than relying on a generic public panel, the Culture Panel connects you directly to people who already care about the sector, whether that's for a single survey or a longitudinal cohort study tracking change over several years.

It's less a data source than a relationship: we can advise on sample design and survey delivery, and where it helps, bring panel members into a roundtable or focus group so their voice shapes the findings directly, not just the numbers behind them.
