In 2024, Arts Mid North Coast commissioned Patternmakers to help develop a new, evidence-based strategic plan to support the region’s creative sector.

Arts Mid North Coast (AMNC) is the region's peak arts organisation, committed to supporting and collaborating with government, communities, organisations, business, and individuals to build capacity and create opportunities for the arts and creative industries.

AMNC envisions a vibrant and diverse region that embraces the creation, understanding and appreciation of the arts on fostering economic,
community, cultural and environmental opportunities, and benefits.

They are now in a new chapter, with a new Director and working towards a new strategic plan.

As the most populated regional area of NSW, the creative industries play a huge role in the Mid North Coast culturally, socially, and economically. AMNC want to develop strategies around projects and programs that are most needed, and know how to prioritise these moving forward.

Currently, there is little available data on the region’s arts sector. This project will collate existing and new data and undertake consultation to date to support AMNC programming and strategic planning.

Your participation is invaluable in ensuring our endeavours align with the community’s aspirations.

The project will kick off with two free evening discussion events to explore opportunities for the arts across our region:

  • Port Macquarie: 6pm Thursday 4 April (venue tbc)

  • Coffs Harbour: 6pm Friday 5 April (venue tbc)

There’ll be conversation, wine, nibblies and a chance to meet fellow creatives.

Together, we can prioritise the right actions for our creative community, and make the Mid North Coast a vibrant place to live, work and visit.
